A 1962 Fender Deluxe Combo in Very Good Vintage condition with modest wear and tear for an amplifier of this age, including some minor scuffs, small tears, and a bit of Tolex staining. Overall, this amp presents very nicely with just enough wear to let you know it's a vintage piece. Non-Original Jensen Speaker, but the Original Speaker is included.
The 1962 Fender Deluxe is a 20‑watt, non‑reverb combo that sits tonally between the earlier tweed 5E3 and the later blackface Deluxe Reverb. It is widely regarded as one of Fender’s most responsive “edge‑of‑breakup” recording and club amps from the pre‑CBS era. Players and engineers often favor brown panel Deluxes for studio work and small‑club gigs because they sit well in a mix, get into rich overdrive at reasonable volumes, and have usable cleans when run just below breakup.
This is a great amp, folks. Please feel free to contact us in the shop to answer any questions you may have.
NOTE TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS:
We want you to be happy with your purchase and we try to represent the condition of all used and vintage amplifiers as accurately as possible in our listings. We almost never use the term Mint because every amp will have some signs of use and wear. We try to call out all areas of damage or unusual wear and to describe the overall condition based upon what is "normal" for the age of the amplifier. Expect to see minor wear and evidence of normal use and aging which may not be captured by photography or explicitly mentioned in the listing.
We recognize that everyone has their own personal standard of what constitutes acceptable wear and tear. If play wear is especially critical for you, please contact us at the Shop for a complete in-hand description and to answer any questions you may have. Your satisfaction is of paramount importance to us.
